Question 202:

The USA finally has a black president. Is it possible for a black man to become Pope?

Answer:

There is nothing in the Canon Law of the Catholic Church to prevent a black Pope. Every baptised man can be elected Pope. If he is not yet a Bishop at the time of his election, he will only become Bishop of Rome, and therefore Pope, after he is consecrated Bishop.
